What women do to make themselves look “more beautiful” can actually lead to dangerous consequences located far beneath what meets the eye. When you choose to have a pedicure done or maybe even an injection of botox you are taking the risk out of your hands and putting it into the hands of the person conducting the procedure. Often it is hard to know just how qualified this person is or if they have had problems in the past and therefore you are taking a giant risk, hoping you are safe. Studies have shown that many of the beauty procedures are quite safe in the hands of someone capable but they can also be life threatening in the wrong hands.

A report from Fort Worth, Texas was published to raise awareness when a young woman died from an infection she contracted from a pedicure she received from a nail salon. This infection was antibiotic resistant, Staphylococcus aureus, and can be contracted when the materials used throughout the pedicure were not properly cleaned or the technician is not qualified to perform this procedure. A simple event occurred in Santa Cruz, California where 110 people contracted a potentially dangerous infection from a pedicure as well. These reports are not meant to lead you to assume the only dangers in the beauty industry are located within a nail salon, this is not the case.

The most popular as well as the most dangerous procedure women use today to try and recapture or maintain their youth are wrinkle fillers and injections like botox. There have been many deaths associated with non-FDA approved wrinkle fillers and this should be warning to all women. Four women are paralyzed from using a bootlegged version of botox in Florida and one woman in California died from using a form of botox from an unlicensed dealer. When you choose to use products that have not been approved by the FDA there is no way of knowing how they are made or what is in them and this is where your danger lies.

Since wrinkles are the number one appearance flaw women worry about today, why not look towards a therapy that offers no side effects; the natural alternatives?

  • Vitamin A is essential when it comes to healing and constructing new skin tissue and can be taken in dosages of 25,000 IU daily.

  • Vitamin B Complex is known as the anti-stress and anti-aging vitamin.

  • Kelp is a natural supplement that provides a balance between minerals needed for a good skin tone.

  • Silica is important to help with your skin’s strength and elasticity. This supplement also stimulates the formation of collagen.

  • Vitamin C is necessary to create the collagen needed for skin flexibility. Vitamin C also fights the free radicals, which can harm your skin tissue.

By choosing to take part in natural supplementation instead of inserting chemicals into your body you are taking the safer approach to beauty maintenance. When it comes to other forms of beauty procedures always do your research to make sure the company or person you are trusting is experienced and professional for your own safety.
