Aluminum Toxicity - Aluminum Toxicity - Articles

Although aluminum is not considered to be a heavy metal, it can be quite dangerous if it enters your system in excessive dosages. Even the smallest amount of aluminum can be harmful if it makes its way into your brain through the blood stream. Many of the symptoms of aluminum toxicity can be compared to Alzheimer’s disease, which can make it difficult for physicians and patients alike to distinguish the differences. Although aluminum toxicity is a serious disease by itself, it can also lead to the contraction of other serious disorders such as rickets, gastrointestinal disorders, anemia, nervousness, memory loss, softening bones and colic. These can all be quite serious conditions if not treated properly. They can all be avoided if you take appropriate action to treat your aluminum toxicity condition properly and quickly.

The kidney processes any aluminum that travels through the body, which is why many sufferers eventually develop serious kidney disorders as well. Studies show the accumulated amount of aluminum that reaches the brain can cause the onset of Alzheimer’s disease, a debilitating disease for the elderly. It has been estimated that the average person consumes about 3-10 mg of aluminum a day. This can be through environmental conditions or simply drinking a beverage out of an aluminum can. There are many products which contain aluminum that you may not be aware of including, over the counter painkillers, anti-inflammatories, tooth paste, antiperspirants, beer and even table salt.

There are some natural alternatives and supplements that can help reduce your intake of aluminum and/or have this intake safely digested without harming your kidneys. Apple Pectin is a natural supplement that binds itself with metals in the body and then helps expel these metals from the body naturally. All it takes is 2 teaspoons, twice daily. Calcium and magnesium are also important supplements to include in your daily routine as they too aid in the expelling of metals in the body but they add more strength to your immune systems and overall health as well.

Coenzyme A should be taken as directed as it helps cleanse the body and immune system of dangerous substances such as aluminum and aids in the detoxification process. Kelp is another great supplement, which can and should be taken in dosages of 2,000-3,000 mg a day as this supplement helps balance the mineral content in your body. If you are interested in combining these reliable supplements with herbs, you have a choice of burdock, ginseng, ginkgo and fiber as each of these herbs have the ability to block the toxic metals that can harm the body in the different ways we have explained above.
