Larabar: A Healthy Snack Bar
that Provides Super Nutrition as Opposed to "Empty Calorie" Junk bars

Research has shown that a healthy diet consists of about six meals
per day. Of those six, three should medium sized portions and the other
three should be in the form of a snack. |
Aside from that, the lifestyle of many people can sometimes cause them
to eat their meals “on the go”. Most of the quick fix snacks on the
market are so saturated with artificial ingredients and chemicals that I
wouldn’t feed them to a stray dog! So, being the “snacker” that I am I
wanted to research and test some healthy options for snacking throughout
the day. What I found was pretty impressive and so I’d like to share it
with you.
The product that I’d like to recommend as a top pick for snacking is
called Larabar (Lara-bar). Not only is it a healthy choice but it
actually tastes pretty good too. I recently purchased a box of the Apple
Pie bars, which were good, but after trying the chocolate coconut chew
bar today, I raced to my local health food store and grabbed 2 boxes!
Larabar is considered what we call a food bar. What this means is that
it's made with 100% whole unprocessed foods. They are derived from raw
food meaning all ingredients are uncooked, unprocessed; contain no added
sugars and/or artificial sweeteners. Larabars are also non-gmo, gluten
and dairy free, vegan and they are kosher! There are only a handful of
ingredients in each bar. For example the 'Cherry Pie Larabar' consists
of cherries, almonds and dates. That’s it, just three ingredients.
It is a rule of thumb that the more ingredients you see on the label of
a product, the unhealthier it usually is. As a matter of fact, the next
time you think about picking up an “energy” bar from a store that
doesn’t specialize in natural products, take a look at the ingredients.
More likely than not, there will be over 20 ingredients and most of them
will probably be hard to pronounce.
The fact of the matter is that most of these “energy” bars are just
sugar bars or candy bars as we know them that are loaded with some
pretty terrible stuff. Larabars on the other hand, contain nothing but
healthy, natural ingredients. The complex carbohydrates in Larabars
provide sustained energy unlike candy bars which spike your insulin
levels which will boost your energy for the moment but leave you
feeling tired and hungry an hour after eating them.
These bars consist of a combination of nuts and unsweetened fruit, which
is naturally sweet, not ”made” sweet in some laboratory. The nuts that
Larabars contain are rich in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are
essential components in an optimal health regimen. Lara Merriken, the
creator of Larabars maintains” These components are also slow digesting.
So the combination of them actually is not only energizing, but it's
also sustaining. And they’re full of fiber so they work long-term. You
know, you don’t get hungry an hour later”.
Larabars originated in Colorado in just a few stores. Last year the
company’s earnings were around $400,000. This year, Larabars are sold in
about 47 states, and the company is approaching the $2 million mark.
That’s about 500% in growth with no advertising by the way.
It’s no wonder why the sales of this wonderful product are skyrocketing.
Everyone loves a good snack. But finding a good snack that’s actually
“good” can be quite the task. With Larabars, you have all the great
taste, all the healthy ingredients and all the healthy benefits. And,
they’ll keep you satisfied for more than an hour. What more can one ask
for? Additional information is available from the company website:
